ReviewNudger answers

How do I get Google reviews from Tripleseat event clients after the event?

The short answer

Ask the event contact the morning after the event, by text, with a one-tap link to your Google review form — and ask every client, not just the ones who raved. Tripleseat has no built-in review request and no reputation vendor in its marketplace, but it does know exactly when a DEFINITE booking ends. ReviewNudger connects with your own Tripleseat API application, watches for ended events, and sends the contact one neutral request automatically.

Why venues have fewer reviews than guests

A restaurant private-dining room or banquet venue hosts 15 events a week, each with 20 to 200 guests, and has 90 Google reviews. The gap is structural: the person who booked is exhausted the night of the event, the venue team is resetting the room, and by the time anyone thinks to ask, the glow has faded. Yet that one booking contact — the bride, the office manager, the association coordinator — is the single most motivated reviewer you will ever have, for about 48 hours.

Tripleseat manages the lead, the booking, the BEO, and the contact beautifully, and it fires webhooks and exposes an API, but it does not ask for reviews and its partner marketplace has no review or reputation category at all. The moment it does know precisely is when a booked event's end time passes. That is the trigger ReviewNudger uses.

How the ended-event trigger works

A Tripleseat admin creates a private OAuth application inside your own account (Settings › Tripleseat API & Webhooks) with read scopes for events, contacts, sites, and rooms, and pastes its UID and secret into ReviewNudger; you then authorize the connection on Tripleseat's own screen. No partner approval, and nothing leaves your account except the reads ReviewNudger makes.

ReviewNudger checks your venue's events every few minutes. When a DEFINITE or CLOSED event's end time passes, it reads the event's contact — first email, and the mobile number if there is one — applies your sending rules, and after the delay you choose (most venues pick the next morning) sends one neutral review request by text or email with a one-tap link to your Google review form. Prospects, tentative holds, lost and deleted events, and events still running are never asked; an event ended before you connected is never backfilled; and each event asks once, so a multi-booking event or a later edit never produces a second text.

Every event contact gets the same ask. Asking only the clients you expect to be delighted is review gating — against Google policy and the FTC consumer-review rule. The public Google link is always on the landing page, and a disappointed client can send private feedback from the same place, which you will want to hear before they tell anyone else.

Several venues, one account

A Tripleseat account that spans several venues picks which venue ReviewNudger watches at connect time; each venue is its own ReviewNudger account with its own Google profile and texting number. A single-venue account connects immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Tripleseat partner approval or a particular plan?

No. Tripleseat lets a venue admin create a private OAuth application in Settings › Tripleseat API & Webhooks, and that is all ReviewNudger needs. Tripleseat's partner clients come from its partnership team; the self-serve path does not depend on one.

Which events count, and who gets the request?

DEFINITE and CLOSED events whose end time has passed. The request goes to the event contact — first email on file, and the mobile number (never fax or pager) if there is one. Events with no contact, or a contact with no email or phone, are recorded and skipped, and the connection panel shows how many.

What if an event is entered after the fact?

It is still asked, as long as it ended after you connected. The trigger is the event end time, not when the booking was created.

Will a repeat corporate client be texted after every monthly event?

Only as often as your cooldown allows. ReviewNudger keys each request on the event and applies your per-contact cooldown, so a monthly client is not asked monthly unless you want them to be.
